Road Accident Victims Support Company – ROAD SAFETY OBSERVATORY of RHODES
Road Accident Victims Support Company – ROAD SAFETY OBSERVATORY of RHODES is a Non-Profit, Non-Governmental Organization in the field of Road Safety.
It is the first Non-Profit Organization in Greece founded by the mother of a car accident victim.
Road Safety Observatory of Rhodes, was founded on June 6, 2004 by a group of sensitized citizens, scientists, victims and relatives of road accidents and many interested citizens who want to contribute to society as a whole.
Its goals:
- The provision of medical & social support (information on rights and obligations), technical counseling, psychological support to the victims and their families.
- The prevention of road accidents by involving the authorities as well as any natural or legal person
- Raise public awareness about safer road traffic
- Undertaking and promoting activities on issues that promote road safety and many more..
Road Safety Observatory of RHODES is an active member:
– The National Road Safety Council of the Ministry of Transport,
– The European Federation of Traffic Victims (Federation Europeenne des Victims de laroute- F.E.V.R., special adviser to the UN / WHO).
– The Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety & Road Victims,
– IRVA (Iris Road Victims Association),
– Supports the project “Zero Deadly in cities by 2030”,
-Supports the GROUP “VISION ZERO”
– Supports the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030,
– Has signed the European Road Safety Charter since 2008 for fewer road victims
-Supports the “MAKE ROADS SAFE” campaign
– Founding member of the Panhellenic Association “SOS TRAFFIC CRIMES”.
