Serena Carlesi, Research Fellow

Serena has been part of the Sustainability Management (SUM) research area of the Sant’Anna School since 2019. Her main research interests concern circular economy, business competitiveness and environmental management. Serena holds a second level master’s degree in “Management and Environmental Control: Circular Economy and Resource Efficiency Management”. She also received a Ph.D. in Science for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage from University Firenze (Chemistry Department), where she developed new methodologies based on a combination of traditional spectroscopic techniques with multivariate analysis tools to analyze binding media used in traditional easel European paintings (within Italian Project “SICH PRIN 2010-11 – Sustainability in Cultural Heritage from diagnosis to the development of innovative systems for consolidation, cleaning and protection”). Prior to her doctoral studies, she received a Master’s degree (cum laude) in Science for Conservation and Restoration from University of Florence.
