Marina Kyriakou, Architect and Urban Planner (Environment and Climate Change Team)

Marina Kyriakou is an architect. She graduated in 2013 from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Strasbourg in France. In 2014, she completed her master studies in Urban and Regional Planning (MSc), at the Universiteit van Amsterdam in the Netherlands. She is a member of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ΕΤΕΚ), both as an Architect and  an Urban Planner. She worked in architecture in Cyprus between 2015-2019, while being active in citizen initiatives in socio-cultural and environmental issues. In 2019, she got the independent title of the Bicycle Mayor of Nicosia, after joining the global leaders network of BYCS (NL), promoting the use of bicycle, as well as the human-centered and sustainable development of cities. In 2020, Marina was employed by the Cyprus Energy Agency as an Architect and Urban Planner, participating and contributing actively in many European and local projects.
