Kosmas Anagnostopoulos, Coordinator, CIVINET Greece – Cyprus

Kosmas Anagnostopoulos is a Spatial and Mobility Planner (MSc). After 20 years of working experience, he is currently focusing on sustainable mobility, integrated and participatory planning. Having an extensive track record of more than 80 planning and design studies, he has been actively involved during the last 5 years in EU funded projects and initiatives.
Major recent contributions and achievements:
– the Integrated Territorial Investment of Piraeus (80M€)
– the Sustainable Island Mobility Plan (SIMP) concept (adopted by ELTIS/DG MOVE)
– the Urban Street Redesign Manuals and Guidelines for the Municipality of Athens, the MOU SA and the Ministry of Environment and Energy.
– the Green Fund SUMP funding programme (162 cities, 9.5M€)
– the elaboration of more than 20 SUMPs / SIMPs and General Urban Plans
– the establishment of CIVINET Greece-Cyprus Network
