Short abstract of the presentation:Electric vehicles (EVs) could have a hugely positive impact on our lives, from the way we travel and do business to the environment around us. But as of today, the high purchase and lease costs of electric vehicles can create a barrier compared to traditional vehicles. And on top of that our energy networks are struggling to meet rising demand. If we want to see EVs reach their full potential in future, we need to change the way we think about both our transport and the energy that fuels them. That’s where E-Flex comes in.
E-Flex is a co-innovation project, using active electric vehicles (EVs) in real-world fleets to prove the value of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology. Our goal is to demonstrate the role V2G can play in reducing the demand that EVs put on our energy networks while proving the economic benefits for commercial fleet owners. This will ultimately enable us to work towards a cleaner and more sustainable world by helping us achieve our carbon emission goals.
During the presentation I’m aiming to answer the big questions around EVs and V2G and the positive impact these advancements can have when working together.
