Anastasia Poupkou, Associate Researcher of the Academy of Athens

Dr. Anastasia Poupkou is a Physicist. She is an Associate Researcher of the Research Centre for Atmospheric Physics and Climatology of the Academy of Athens. She holds an MSc degree in Environmental Physics and a PhD in Atmospheric Physics. 

Her expertise is mostly on atmospheric modeling, compilation of anthropogenic pollutant emission inventories, modeling of natural emissions and on air quality models evaluation. 

She has 46 publications in peer-reviewed journals, and 53 publications in the proceedings of international conferences . 

She has been involved in many European research projects (FP6, FP7, Horizon2020, European Territorial Cooperation Programmes and European Space Agency) and National ones focusing on the modeling and monitoring of the atmospheric composition and climate change. Her duties were relevant to research, project management and coordination, networking, and collaboration with policy makers and stakeholders.
